Floor plans

Four plans. Two ways to lay out each one.

Penn’s Landing homes are built on the Homes for Iowa plan collection — single-level houses from 1,000 to 1,200 square feet, built indoors under a roof, delivered in one piece and set on a permanent foundation here on the lot.

Narrow

Springfield

The narrow plan in the collection, and the one that fits the tighter lots without crowding the side setbacks. It comes two ways: a 1,200 square foot version with either three bedrooms and two baths or two bedrooms and two baths, and a smaller 1,000 square foot version with two bedrooms and one bath.

Wide

Jefferson

A wide plan under a gable-end roof. The three-bedroom layout splits the sleeping wing into three smaller rooms; the two-bedroom layout uses the same square footage for two larger ones. Same footprint either way, so the decision is about how you actually use bedrooms.

Wide

Perry

The same wide layout as the Jefferson, but under a hipped roof. It reads lower and calmer from the street, which matters on the cul-de-sac lots where four houses face each other.

Farmhouse

White vertical siding, and your choice of a gable or hipped roof. It is the one elevation in the collection that does not come in the five siding colors, and the one people tend to pick when they want the house to look like a decision rather than a default.

Exterior

Five siding colors.

The Springfield, Jefferson and Perry come in any of the five colors below. The Farmhouse is white vertical siding only.

Each plan is also drawn in a left and a right version, so the house can be flipped to put the living side toward the back yard, the street, or the open space — whichever the lot calls for.

What is in the plan and what is not

The house arrives finished. The rest gets built here.

This is the part people ask about most, so it is worth stating plainly. The Homes for Iowa plans cover the house itself. Everything that connects the house to the lot is site work, and at Penn’s Landing that work is done by Panther Builders.

In the plan

The complete single-level house — framing, roof, windows, siding, insulation, drywall, interior finishes, kitchen, baths, and mechanicals — built indoors, delivered in one piece and set on the foundation.

Built on site

Foundation, basement or crawl space, water and sewer connections, gas and electric service, driveway, garage, deck, and the stairs and steps. Landscaping and finish grading close it out.

Homes for Iowa plans do not include stairs, decks or garages. At Penn’s Landing those are quoted with the house so the number you get is the finished number.
